Japanese vegetarian dishes are the greatest models of diet for macrobiotics, a lifestyle that emphasizes consuming food as much in its entirety as possible (whole foods, eg. brown rice, unskinned carrot), consuming protein from non-animal sources (soy beans and whole grains), and enjoying locally grown seasonal products.

This one-day “macrobiotic-made-simple” cooking course at California Sushi Academy gives you an introduction to delicious, healthy and easy macrobiotic Japanese home cooking recipes using everyday ingredients in hands-on kitchen setting where students will learn, make and enjoy eating what they cook.
